FUE hair transplant without shaving the recipient area?

At Maritime Hair Center, we offer our patients FUE hair transplant procedures in two variants tailored to individual needs and preferences: both with and without shaving the entire head.

If you choose not to shave your entire head, we only shave the donor area (the back and sides of the head). The entire top of the patient's head remains unshaved, allowing you to maintain your current hair length in the recipient area.

How long does an FUE hair transplant procedure take?

The entire procedure (depending on the number of grafts and the size of the recipient area) takes:

How to prepare for an FUE hair transplant procedure?

14 days before the procedure: Last haircut and any potential hair dyeing.

10 days before the procedure: Discontinue any dietary supplements and stop taking aspirin.

7 days before the procedure: Completely avoid alcohol consumption.

5 days before the procedure: Do not perform strenuous spinal exercises.

3 days before the procedure: Refrain from drinking coffee.

Pre- and post-operative period: Quit smoking tobacco. Important: do not shave your hair yourself immediately before the procedure.

The day before or the morning of the procedure: Thoroughly wash your scalp and hair. Do not apply any styling products (gels, waxes, hairsprays) on the day of the procedure.

FUE hair transplant for men

Scalp Hair

An FUE scalp hair transplant covers areas such as the receding hairline, temples, mid-scalp, and crown (vertex).

Eyebrows

For men, hair used to reconstruct eyebrows is most frequently harvested from the chin area. In certain cases, if clinically indicated, hair can be extracted from the scalp – predominantly the temples. Depending on the extent of eyebrow atrophy, the procedures involve harvesting from 400 to 850 follicular units (grafts).

Beard

The beard reconstruction procedure involves harvesting follicular units (grafts) from the chin area or the occipital and temporal regions of the scalp, and subsequently implanting them into the recipient site. This method allows us to restore facial hair in the cheek area, jawline, or mustache.

Scars

Qualification for a scar hair transplant is preceded by a thorough assessment of the scar tissue itself. We treat burn, traumatic, or post-surgical scars from previous hair transplants. Grafts are harvested from the occipital/temporal scalp or the chin area.
